Finally, after two years since New Cuyama and Flabob flyins, and one engine overhaul later, I went Flamping1 again!
CFI Michel from Aerodynamic Aviation has been organizing these fly outs and I joined upon learning of this one. Kern Valley airport L05 is a familiar campground to me, always a great destination, and a base for day trips. This campground has soft grass, trees for shade and super clean open-air showers with a view of the Kern River flood plain.

I needed to replace a notebook webcam with an external unit. The one I had on-hand did not have a privacy cover, nor could I find a simple one on any of the 3d model repositories.
Requirements were minimalist design and functionality. While I found units specifically designed for this Logitech C525, they all featured intricate attachment brackets and required post processing after printing.
Instead, I spent half an hour to design a fully parameterized cover, one printed with in-place hinge and without supports.

This weekend was a low pressure, low ceilings VFR, windy and bumpy. Due to maintenance and weather, I couldn’t fly my aircraft for over a month, so I was excited to finally get into the air. Aircraft performed flawlessly, I did 10kt+ crosswind component landings and enjoyed hours in the air!!
